How long have you been in real estate? What did you do before? Why did you switch?
I have been in real estate for just about five years! I started my career as a transaction coordinator for a busy real estate team and officially got my license last year. That experience was a huge advantage for when I became a realtor myself because I was incredibly familiar with contracts, all the moving parts of the transaction from contract to close, and had worked with so many realtors (and personalities!) that I was much better prepared to negotiate for my clients.
What’s unique about the way you do business?
It sounds cliché, but I really do treat each client as if they were a member of my family. Connection trumps commission. I take the responsibility they’ve entrusted me with VERY seriously and I am not just here to sell, sell, sell. Listening and really hearing what my client wants out of their next home makes all the difference and gaining their trust means everything to me.
What’s your favorite part about being in real estate?
I love meeting clients and finding out what they value most about ‘home’ and delivering just that. It’s like shopping for the perfect Christmas gift. Sometimes that process takes times, but the search is a lot of fun!
What’s your method for attracting business?
Social Media! I love how Instagram and Facebook keep people connected, especially this year with all the unexpected isolation. I enjoy sharing my real estate journey on social media and sharing tips and tricks I pick up along the way.
If you could go back in time and meet yourself as a new agent, what would you tell yourself?
Be confident! You’ve got the skills and the background to make buying and selling painless for your clients. Trust yourself!
