Busy real estate agents don’t have time to do reel research and stay up to date on the latest social media trends. They also understand that using reels in their marketing is critical for growing your Instagram and attracting new clients online in 2021.

Our new Reel Ideas & Templates page solves that problem for you. Leave the research to us, and you just take action from our ideas, templates, tips and more.

Each month, you’ll now get new reel ideas & templates in your Dashboard. We repurpose posts from the calendar into an animated reel template, where all you need to do is drop in an intro video. We also add trending reels for you to replicate or get creative with.

Ready to get started? Instructions for the two types of reels we share are below.

1. Animated Canva Templates

For these, there is no trending audio you must use. All you need to do is record a short intro video to drop into these templates.

2. Trending Audio Reel Ideas

This is usually a lip-syncing trending audio where you will need to use the trending audio in Instagram. This also includes member-submitted reel ideas, where a member submitted a reel they posted to help you get ideas and inspo. (You can submit your reels at the bottom of the Reel Ideas & Templates page!)

Animated Canva Templates

For these, you just need to record a quick intro video and drop it into the template. Below is a video walking you through this, followed by written instructions underneath.

1. On your computer, access the Reel Ideas & Templates page.

2. Find a Reel you’d like to create that does not have a corresponding Trending Audio. Click the “Open” button to load the Canva template into your designs. Once you’ve clicked the purple “Use this Template” button, they are now in your account.

3. On your phone, record a quick intro video of you pointing up or down. This can be done in Instagram stories so you can add a filter, or just using your regular camera.

4. Open the Canva app on your phone and upload the video you just recorded.

5. You can now drop the video into the background of the first slide and customize the template, either on your phone or on your desktop. (It will be easier to make customizations on your desktop). Once finished customizing, delete any slides you would not like in the Reel.

7. On the Canva App on your phone, click the download button on the top right. Download as a video.

8. Open up Instagram and create a new Reel post. Upload your video.

9. Click the music icon to add audio, and click the microphone button to add a voiceover (after clicking “Preview” and getting to the next step in editing)

10. Click the music button to reduce the audio sound so that you can hear the voiceover or camera audio. Aaaand, you’re done – post your Reel!

Trending Audio Reels

This is usually a lip-syncing trending audio where you will need to use the trending audio in Instagram. This also includes member-submitted reel ideas, where a member submitted a reel they posted to help you get ideas and inspo. (You can submit your reels at the bottom of the Reel Ideas & Templates page!)

1. On your phone, access the Reel Ideas & Templates page. Find a Reel you’d like to create that has a corresponding Trending Audio. Click the card to find the link to the Original Audio. Click the Original Audio on the bottom left of the screen.

2. Here you will see all of the videos of other creators using this audio in their reels. Click “Use Audio” at the bottom.

3. Record yourself lip syncing the words. Tip: Record in 2x speed to say the words in slow motion, and click the timer to set your camera up and record hands-free.

4. You can go ahead and add your text on Instagram, or you can save the video without audio and drop it into the Canva templates we provide to brand the reel. You can also use the Canva templates we provide as a Cover Image.

5. If you opted to customize in Canva, download your design as an MP4 and save your cover photo as a PNG. Head back to Instagram and upload!
